Neck pain : There is lordosis in the normal cervical spine. Straightening of the cervical spine may indicate spasm of the neck muscles. Neck muscles that are in spasm can lead to tension migraine headaches because they insert on the back of the skull. A pinched nerve in the neck can lead to neck spasm and pain radiating into the shoulder and down the arm to the hand as well.
