Can zoloft (sertraline) cause hypothyroidism? i currently have half a thyroid and i am concerned with taking 50mg of zoloft (sertraline) as it may cause me to go hypo?

No effect: Hi. The SSRI medications have no effect on thyroid function or autoimmunity. Since only one thyroid lobe was removed, obviously the nodule was not a cancer. The remaining half of a thyroid should serve you just fine. Good luck!
