Depends: Most are considered contagious for a minimum of 24 hrs after starting a penicillin like drug. That parameter is used for causal contact at work or school. Deep kissing or other intimate contact is not included.Waiting a few days and or foregoing deep kissing or oral may permit earlier activity without spreading the germ.
