Chills and cough: Greetings. Your symptoms of chills and cough makes me wonder about an underlying pneumonia. Sometimes a "walking pneumonia" could be present . See your family doctor. A thorough exam and possibly a chest X-ray is in order. Good Luck.

Need more info.: Chills and cough usually signify infection. If it's been only a couple of days, it could be viral which would require no specific treatment. If it's been a week or two, it could be bacterial and require an antibiotic. You may wish to see a doctor or get w consult with one of us here on HealthTap to play it safe.
