A member asked:

What could make me feel burning and sharp pains while having sex, then after have burning sensation and swollen vulva? no infections.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Infection?: Are you sure you don't have an infection? Based on your description, you could have yeast infection or bacterial vaginitis, both of which are not sexually transmitted infections. Although, with unprotected sex, there is still a possibility of an STI. The only way to know for sure is to be examined/tested by a physician. Make an appointment with your doctor ASAP. Best wishes.
