Orthopnea: Orthopnea is shortness of breath which occurs while laying flat. It is most commonly seen with congestive heart failure but can also be seen with certain pulmonary disorders or even abdominal obesity. Sleeping propped up in a bed or sitting up in a chair often helps. Please follow up with your doc. Good luck.
