A member asked:

Could i experience a heart arythmia days after anesthesia or would it only appear while under the effects of the anesthesia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Heart dysrthymia: General Anesthesia is a significant chemical strain on the body that can reveal underlying cardiac abnormalities like an altered heart rhythm.( By the way Arrhythmia means NO rhythm!!)Being hypertensive and on your listed drugs does make you more prone to an issue. So, while anesthesia might reveal a problem, it is not usually the actual root cause. Call up your anesthesiologist for a review.
