Problems linked?: Heaviness of the leg and hip weakness may be due to a back problem (L 3-4). This would not cause pain in the ankle (local process if there truly is some swelling) I would have the muscle CPK checked (on statin drug) the weakness in the legs is typically symmetrical if due to statin drugs but can be noticed on one side initially. If these problems persist you will need to be examined.
