A member asked:

Is waking up with migraines and stomach pains a normal symptom of pregnancy? i'm 5 weeks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NORMAL not best word: I would hesitate to use the word NORMAL when referring to accompanying headaches and abdominal pains. Looks like this is your first time. To answer the question, it's not UNCOMMON for some women to experience headaches and abdominal cramping in the first trimester of pregnancy...in some cases throughout pregnancy. You SHOULD treat the headaches but only on the guidance of your doctor.
