Ovulation: Ovulation will occur 12-16 days prior to her next period. There is no way to accurately say when it will occur in relation to her last period. The human egg is only viable for 12-24 hours after ovulation, and pregnancy is no longer possible after the egg loses viability. Birth control is recommended to prevent a sperm and egg from ever getting together.
