Bruised spot on lower left leg. gradually getting bigger and darker. shooting pain to ankle and 3 & 4 toe. swelling constantly.

You didn't mention: how it all started, but you need to get medical help immediately if it's spreading! Don't delay. Bruises don't grow, but spider bites with venom do, and especially causing pain. Put ice on it now, elevate it. NO running, and go to the ER and get some medical help on this. Does not sound like it's going away on it's own.
