When doing doppler of carotid arteries, do u see the arteries up to the level of the cheekbones? can u c everything that u can pulsate with ur hand?

Not normally: A carotid duplex scan or ultrasound normally examines the carotid arteries from just above the collarbone to the angle of the jaw below the ears. The carotid artery does travel by the cheekbone if by that you mean the maxilla.
