Possible nerve: The symptoms you describe are consistent with, Amon other things, degenerative disk disease and cervical radiculopathy. If you have arthritis or disk herniations in your neck, overtime the nerve roots can become irritated and or compressed, resulting in pain in the shoulder, arm and hand. Numbness and tingling may also occur. See your doctor for a complete history and physical examination.
