Nipple discharge: The brain tumor that can cause nipple discharge is called a pituitary prolactinoma. It secretes prolactin, the hormone responsible for the discharge. Since the cause is hormonal, it tends to affect both breasts. Unilateral discharge suggests a local etiology. Prolactin levels can be measured with a blood test, if yours are normal, a functional prolactinoma is highly unlikely. If high, MRI next.
