FInd the cause: Don't treat lab values. You've had radiation therapy for something, so you're no stranger to the health care system. Insist that your physician can tell whether the cause of the protien in your urine is clear, or whether you'll need a further workup. The protein itself is not harmful, but it's a marker for underlying illness. Most often, it's orthostatic proteinuria, a non-problem.
