A member asked:

Does it matter how much i chew my food? in other words, does the breakdown of food by chewing make a difference in my stomach?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Somewhat: Chewing helps increase the surface area and begin the breakdown process. Swallowing food whole is not good in general for swallowing but all in all it will get broken down in your stomach. Chew your food enough that its easy to swallow and you should be fine.
