Many causes: Young people your age can get a transient entity call costrochondritis. It is an inflamation of muscles between the ribs. Because asthma can make breathing difficult, sometimes the muscles can be irratated. It is easily diagnosed by physical exam and can be treated with local heat and medication. If it persists, see your doctor.
