Confusing question: A kid needs regular (undiluted) milk until at least 2 to support normal brain growth. Many become constipated from a variety of otherwise healthy foods, like applesauce, bananas, rice cereal while they are loose on peaches, pears, plums and prunes or prune juice. A simple change in diet may help.Discuss it with the doc at the next checkup.

Constipation: lack of fiber and hydration. Increase fiber with increased fruits. peaches pears plums and prunes. Increase whole grains in his diet., whole grain bread and noodles. Rice / rice cereal can be constipating. You can mix a tablespoon of corn syrup in 4 oz of wAter. Don't use suppositories or laxative without talking to your Doc. And he should be on undiluted whole milk.
