Regardless, : normally it is quite difficult for any antibiotic to get to the abscess in an abscessed tooth. The only way to cure a dental abscess is with dental treatment. The treatments are: root canal treatment, tooth extraction and/or in some cases, drainage surgery. The antibiotic is an adjunctive treatment only. Hope it helps.
