Dark Spots: Petroleum jelly will not remove dark spots on your skin. Get a prescription bleaching cream with hydroquinone from your doctor.

No it does not: first you must wear a sunscreen, second you need a lightening agent (like OTC hydroquinone with hydroxy acid or retinol)to lighten the dark spots. Petroleum jelly can actually enhance UV absorption and make it worse
