I was having my neck check out for stiffness. during the testing i felt a sharp pain shooting down my neck. what can cause this problem?

Brief episode?: If the sharp shooting pain was brief and resolved then it was probably irritation of an inflamed tendon or ligament. If that pain has persisted then it could be a pinched nerve. Consider seeing a chiropractor for treatment.
