Follow instructions: Abendazole's effectiveness is somewhat decreased if taken with food in part because it's diluted by the stomach contents and has less effectiveness as it traverses the bowel. You can take it with water, four ounces before taking the pill and four ounces to wash it down with. Sometimes people still require a second treatment even if taken as Rx'd
