As asked, yes.: Most bites/infections do fine on their own, dealt with by our bodies. However some need help--if having fevers / chills / sweats, suggests more extensive infection. Should see your Dr or an Urgent Care for evaluation and probable antibiotic prescription.

100 percent: Incidently, many infections that are thought to be spider bites may be wounds growing resistant bacteria like MRSA.....better to be on an oral antibiotic then topical...

Antibiotics needed: You may have been biten by a brown recluse spider. Their bites nearly all get infected. Often they require aggressive wound care. You should see your doctor and have him/her decide on the best treatment after their evaluation.
