Diabetes?: Diabetes is a possibility, especially if he has lost weight and has increased thirst. There are other possibilities, so have him seen by his paediatrician. And good on you to be observant and to have thought of a possible cause.

Get tested!: Hi. If this represents a change (and it sounds like it does), get the little guy tested!!! Hopefully it's nothing, but if there's a problem, ignoring it doesn't make it go away. Good luck!
