See below. : Sounds like they may be lymph nodes. Jane this checked out by your Dr. to evaluate them and determine whether they may be reactive/inflammatory, or more serious. You may need further investigations.

Probably not: It's probably inflamed lymph nodes because of infection of teeth and/or gums, although there may be other reasons. In any events you should see your Dentist as soon as possible for diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
