A member asked:

How painful is it when they stick amnio needle in the sac?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not very painful.: We use very small gauge needles to perform amniocentesis and sometimes we can also use some local anesthesia to numb the skin to make it more a more comfortable procedure.
