Chest pain: There can be a large number of things that cause non-heart related chest pain. For example, esophageal problems like GERD or contraction can cause pain. Lung problems, pericardial issues, and musculoskeletal conditions can likewise cause pan. As the options are so numerous, it may be worth seeing a doctor for evaluation.

HeartPain Not Common: The vast majority of chest pains are just that, pain perceived in the chest & due to some issue in the chest: skin, chest wall/intercostal muscles, rib joints, pleural tissues (inside chest wall or on lung surface), diaphragm, esophagus, stomach (within lower left chest), colon, gall bladder, etc. Public & medical community routinely jump to heart: fear, tests, money, defensive medicine, etc.
