Strep test: The only definitive way is to have either a rapid strep test done or throat culture. Everything else from seeing pus or redness and even fever and swollen glands is guessing. Get to either your doctor or to an urgent care center and get the test.

Strep Throat: For significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see physician & get a strep throat test & culture. Antibiotics are imperative for Strep Throat.
