None: If you have a strep throat you need antibiotic treatment, usually 10 days of a penicillin antibiotic. The sore throat and fever will resolve in a week even without treatment but you then run the risk of getting serious rheumatic fever or glomerulonephritis. No home remedies will prevent these sequella. Symptomatic treatments include throat lozenges, cepacol throat spray and tylenol (acetaminophen).
