Usual dosage: The usual dosage prescribed from Nuvigil is 150 - 250mg per day depending on the underlying condition. Modafinil is normally 100-200mg daily. We usually try to use the lowest dose initially of any medication and then work upwards as needed. It may be that the 250s were the only sample strength available. Also, each medication is different and has it's own dosing range.
