See pediatrician: Remember the weight is relative to height and body habitus. Talking with a pediatrician can help determine her proportions. Body image starts at a very young age. Often around age 8, so its a good time to discuss nutrition and eating habits. The issue is learning healthy eating and exercise and improving self esteem as these girls are turning into young women.

Need more data: Normal weight can't be calculated by age alone. It is important to know how tall is she, and only then we could tell if her 98 pounds are within normal limits, low or high.
