Yes: Enlargement of the right side of the heart is often due to abnormalities on the left side of the heart. Isolated enlargement of the right heart is uncommon and usually cause by a congenital heart disease such as a shunt, chronic lung disease , or high pressure in the lung circulation( pulmonary hypertension) the latter common in women.
