Surgical biopsy: Hi. The follicular lesion of undetermined significance may be aided by the thyroid cancer genetic panel done on the biopsy cells. Was that done? If questions remain, you will need a surgical excisional biopsy to resolve whether cancer or benign. If cancer on frozen section, completion thyroidectomy; if benign, leave the other half in and close the wound.
