Unclear : See your doctor. The area around the iris s the remainder of the eye known as the sclera. This is the white portion of the eye. If there is some coloration this needs to be evaluated by ophthalmologist. This area can be injected or red in appearance to inflammation. Part of your symptoms sound like presymptoms of shingles. Clearly needs further evaluation promptly. See your doc urgent care, or ER
