Does ambian and diazepam work together?

Yes: Paroxetine and diazepam are two different types of medications used to treat anxiety. Diazepam is typically only used on a short-term basis, as it can be addictive and cause other side effects. Diazepam and paroxetine typically do not interact with each other.

Although there is no frank metabolic interaction, both drugs cause drowsiness and relative sedation. Used together, tolerance occurs over time, standard sleep stages are disrupted, and progressive insomnia may emerge. Driving can be dangerous. If you have sleep apnea, would completely avoid both. Suggest you consult with your doctor prior to using.
