A member asked:

Burning sensation/pain in the back of my right heel. any thoughts, suggestions, or way to "fix" this? what could it be? it's so painful.

A differential : Diagnosis would include: Achilles tendonitis, partial tear of Achilles, haglund's deformity, calcific tendonitis, posterior heel spur, nerve entrapment. Try hot water Epsom salt soaks. Try wearing a backless shoe like crocs or a clog, antiinflammatories if not contraindicated. See foot/ankle doc for xrays and evaluation.
