Hematuria: Nope. Not likely. Blood in urine represents infection, kidney stones, or possible cancer of the bladder or kidneys.

It can be ..: If you are having your period you may notice some blood in your urine due to the close proximity of the vagina and urethra. But if you are not having your period - and you may not at 55(just depends) - then make sure you see a urologist as blood in the urine is never normal. It can be a sign of an infection, noninfectious inflammation and/or cancer. Please seek help.
