Cosopt eye drops effects?

Eye pressure drop: This is a combination product of two generally effective agents that lower eye pressure. It is now available in a generic form. Your ophthalmologist (you are seeing a real doctor - an md?) prescribed this to treat your glaucoma and hopefully it is having the desired effect.

Glaucoma treatment: Cosopt is a combination of 2 meds designed to lower the pressure of the eye in the treatment of glaucoma. Many people find the drop irritating and it often causes redness and a sense of dryness. Generally, however, it is well-tolerated. One of the ingredients is timolol, a beta-blocker that can sometimes slow the heart rate and provoke asthma in those who are susceptible. See package insert.
