Spider Veins: Telangiectasia (spider veins) can occur anyplace in the body. Most commonly we see them in the skin, but you can have them in your stomach. Most, you are born with. Rarely they develop in response to a disease (High pressure in the veins or Cushing syndrome for example). So it may be incidental to the reason for gastroscopy, or a clue for further investigation. Only your doctor knows which.
