Need biopsy : Not enough information. You must see a doctor to assess these lesions. It could be simply hemorrhoids or you may have some vasuclitis? If not hemorrhoids.. Consider getting biopsy of these lesions. We can't tell you online without looking at it what that might be. Please see your doctor and ask if you have hemorrhoids... If not get biopsy.

Need more info: Sounds like you have hemorrhoids. No connection with IBS. That would not cause these "purple bumps". You should be consulting with a rectal surgeon for the hemorrhoids and a gastroenterologist for the IBS. Have you had a colonoscopy yet?? You have all the indications that one is needed.
