Antihistamine now!: When you have acute symptoms, take an antihistamine by mouth, such as cetirizine 10mg (Zyrtec) or fexofenadine (Allegra) 180mg, cold compresses to eyelids and face, also eye drops such as ketotifen. If this does not do the job, see a physician. If it happens often, you should see an allergist/immunologist.
