Not reliably: If and when you have classical symptoms you can easily suspect it. However, there are many STD'd that can be acquired and remain asymptomatic for indefinite periods. There are also in excess of a dozen infectious diseases that can be passed through sexual contact. If you have had exposure and are worried, the best way to know is to be honest with your doc and have the screening tests done.
