I have my tubes tied but i haven't started my cycle. it's there a possibility i could be pregnant?

You tell us: You were told when you consented to having the tubal ligation that getting pregnant was nearly impossible after the procedure. I would assume by the age of 36 you have talked to enough girlfriends to know that there are at least a dozen common reasons for missed periods. It is very unlikely you are pregnant. But, if you worry then you must do a test so you can stop worrying.
