I take 19 mg of propanolol for panic attacks is it okay to take half if a 20?

Propranolol & panic: u mention taking 19mg of Propranolol for panic attacks. This is an effective use of a non-habit forming med for acute panic. If you live in the US, it seems like it might be tough for your dose 2 b 19mg (as the med is avail in 20mg tabs). However, if you want to know if a dose other than your prescribed dose would be safe & effective for you, give a buzz to your doc & discuss :) be well!:)

Double-check dose: I assume that you meant to type 10 mg instead of 19 mg as 19 mg is an unusual dose. As far as halving a 20 mg tablet for a 10 mg dose, that should be fine. The 20 mg tablets are scored to make that easier. Check your typing, the bottle, and/or the original Rx to check the intended dose. One thing to keep in mind is that Propranolol could cause depression or make it worse. Good luck!
