Best to get checked: There are so many things that can cause your symptoms--infectious, inflammatory, hemorrhage, ischemia, functional (ibs, esophageal spasm), biliary problems; but also heart, lungs, panic, etc. If worsening or associated with systemic signs, get to your doctor for evaluation & treatment please. You can now perform a home pregancy test to answer at least part of your question.
