May need MRI. : X-ray does not adequately show herniated, protruded or bulging disks. With pain radiating down leg, this may be a possibility. Discuss MRI or a referral to specialist with your pcp, to see if it is presently warranted. If symptoms not severe you would probably not be a surgical candidate, but only be treated medically at the present time.
