Wives Tales: The consistency of any vaginal or cervical mucous is not in any way an indicator of any part of the menstrual cycle or pregnancy. That would be an old wives tale. If you are at risk of pregnancy because you let a boy inside of your vagina when you were ovulating then if your next period does not start you will need to do a pregnancy test.
