Mittelschmerz: Muttelschmerz, or "middle pain", is the discomfort experienced at the time of ovulation. This is when an egg, or ovum, breaks through the ovary to be swept up and into the Fallopian tube on its way to bringing you to a fertile state. This is all natural. The pain should not be severe and should not last more than 1-2 days. If it does, see your doctor.
