Need to test: No that is not normal but it is not uncommon either. Some women just naturally have irregular periods. This is usually caused by infrequent (not regular) ovulation. The only way to know if you're pregnant is by taking an over the counter pregnancy (urine) test. You may need to be on some form of cyclical progesterone to keep your menses regular. The BCPs keep your menses regular.
