Arthritis? : Possibilities are carpal tunnel syndrome, variety of rheumatic disorders. Get ANTICCP, Rheumatoid factor,ANA labs to start with. You have had Hashimoto that is an autoimmune disorder that makes you susceptible to other autoimmune disease . Please check with a rheumatologist

Arthritis.: Depending upon how long the symptoms last in the morning might be over use or a "flare" of osteoarthritis or an inflammatory arthritis. If persistent or symptoms last more than 60 minutes in the am should see your doc to consider testing and maybe Xray.
